One of today’s busiest actors in Bollywood, Akshay Kumar, has reportedly rejected an offer for a Yash Raj production as the actor is not interested to act opposite Rani Mukherji. The reason that prompted Akshay to take such a bold decision is that today’s star actress Rani did the same thing with Akshay on quite a few occasions in the past when Akshay did not come under lime light and Rani was established as an actress.
Rani Mukherji turned down offers to act opposite Akshay in two movies: ‘Sangharsh’ and ‘Awara Pagal Deewana’. Now, it is turn for Akshay Kumar. The year 2007 was not a successful one for Rani Mukherji, while Akshay presented with three box-office hits. So, it is a perfect stage for Akshay to take the revenge.
Anyway, I think, there were enough reasons behind Rani’s rejection of those two movies because Akshay Kumar was not an established actor that time. Naturally, star actors hardly want to act opposite less known actors as well. Similarly, I see nothing wrong with Akshay’s rejection as well.
