The ascendency of India as an economic world power

It seems that India and China are at odds against the developed G8 countries when it comes to Greenhouse Gas reduction. You know that the rich developed countries produce most of the greenhouse gas and they are not interested to provide any substantial cut in their production of greenhouse gas. They want that big developing countries like China and India come forward and help them in this regard. On the other hand, the leaders of India and China think that it is the G8 leaders who have to take the initiative as they are already rich and developed. They also feel that the economies of India and China are growing at this moment and they need to focus on growth first.

Well, I think that there should be a concerted effort from both the groups. It is true that rich G8 countries have done a lot of damage to the world environment. They should come forward and take some substantial steps for helping the environment. On the other hand, countries like India and China should not follow the rich countries and make the environment more polluted.
